The low release backhand is a throw that is a few inches off the ground, it is really good in medium-long range because it does not get affected by the wind as much if you were to throw it high.
Reach low to do the throw, but make sure it is tilted up a tiny bit so it doesn't hit the ground, but also avoid going up in the air.
